Stichting NDSM-werf organises special Art Tours. During this guided walk, you'll learn more about the temporary artworks, the artists behind them, and why these works belong at NDSM. This edition of the Art Tour will be led by artist and guide Su Tomesen, together with special guest Lily van der Stokker.

The IJ-Hallen are the largest flea market in Europe and take place about once every three weeks on the outside of NDSM (spring and summer) or inside the NDSM Loods (autumn and winter). As part of Wish Me Well, De Feministische Handwerk Partij is hosting a workshop that explores handicraft not only as a craft, but also as a way of bringing people together, sharing care and discussing social issues. Surrounding Lara Schnitger's artwork, made from hand-decorated sandbags that symbolically protect feminist values, participants will explore how textiles, mending and care have been connected to the role of women in society for centuries.

From September 3rd to 13th, the Amsterdam Fringe Festival will take over various locations across the city, including the NDSM wharf. The festival presents a diverse program packed with theater, performance, and dance from new, emerging, and untamed talent. Circoloco returns to NDSM for an unforgettable night of energy, raw sounds and club culture. With a strong line-up of international artists and a mix of house and techno, it promises to be another unforgettable experience. Circoloco's underground vibe brings the Ibiza atmosphere to the shipyard's industrial setting. Expect pulsing beats, intense moments on the dance floor, and a night where music and freedom come together.

This summer, Stichting NDSM-werf presents New Dawn by Howareyoufeeling.studio: a public installation of 108 red monobloc chairs inviting visitors to take a seat, pause, and become part of a shared ritual of attention, stillness and encounter.

From May 14, Wish Me Well will be on display at NDSM. This temporary, seven-metre-high monument by artist Lara Schnitger rises in a prominent spot at the ferry landing. The sculpture depicts a warrior who embraces and defends feminist values, and acts as a powerful beacon for emancipation in the public space. The official opening will take place on May 13.

From April 24, the NDSM Giants will be on display at NDSM. Three eight-metre-high concrete sculptures designed by Gabriel Lester (PolyLester) are rising on the site. The giant basketball players, caught in movement, show from varying perspectives an exciting game between stillness and dynamism, between figuration and abstraction.

The text work created for NDSM by artist Lily van der Stokker is a soft and critical counterbalance to the raw character of the former shipyard, dominated by male creators.

For the annual DGTL Festival at NDSM, Stichting NDSM-werf and DGTL jointly commissioned a new painting on the iconic container arch.
