Stichting NDSM-werf organises various guided tours of the wharf: the NDSM Tours. Each tour is led by true NDSM experts who can tell you everything about the history of the site, NDSM’s contemporary role and identity in the context of Amsterdam and beyond, and the ongoing development of this unique area. Whether you are interested in industrial heritage, contemporary art and culture, sustainability, architecture, or the social dynamics of the site, there is something for everyone. Discover hidden stories, iconic buildings, and future visions that bring this raw and inspiring part of the city to life.

NDSM Art Tour
Stichting NDSM-werf also organises special Art Tours for the public, highlighting the artworks found outdoors at NDSM Wharf. During this walk, you will learn more about the temporary artworks, the artists, and why their work fits within NDSM. The Art Tour is usually led by artist Su Tomesen along with a special guest artist. The first edition takes place on Sunday 19 April, with guest artist Bart Eysink Smeets.

NDSM Architecture Tour
On this tour, you will embark on an expedition with a professional guide from Architours. You’ll learn about all aspects of the NDSM Wharf—culture, events, and art—and explore the tension between artistic independence and the pressures of urban expansion. The tour delves into the architecture of the wharf as a landmark reflecting both its history and contemporary development. Themes covered include cultural urban context, events, architecture, urban development, cultural heritage, and sustainability.

Tip: The NDSM Architecture Tour is ideal as a professional activity for companies and government organisations.
