Stichting NDSM-werf organises special Art Tours throughout the year. During these guided walks, you will learn more about the temporary artworks on the wharf, the artists behind them, and why their work belongs at NDSM. The tours are usually led by artist Su Tomesen together with a special guest. The next Art Tour takes place on 2 August, with Su Tomesen as guide and special guest Maryam Kalami, caretaker of NDSM Lusthof garden. Further Art Tours will take place on 23 August and 3 October. The IJ-Hallen are the largest flea market in Europe and take place about once every three weeks on the outside of NDSM (spring and summer) or inside the NDSM Loods (autumn and winter). Are you looking for that one pair of vintage sneakers, a new antique wall mirror, a large selection of LP records, or just some new additions to your wardrobe? Come and browse the stalls at NDSM!

Starting in September, Kindertoneel Westerpark will once again be offering weekly theater classes at the NDSM wharf for children aged 4 to 12. In small groups, children will playfully develop their creativity, imagination, and self-confidence through theater and movement. Additionally, special summer workshops will be held at NDSM this summer, from August 10th to 12th.

At the NDSM Children's Atelier, imagination takes center stage. Children design and create their own unique pieces using a wide variety of recycled materials from the artists' studios on the wharf. Guided by these artists, who believe that every child is creative and can be encouraged to bring their ideas to life, children work from concept to creation. This edition: we'll be making Floating Messages!

Stichting NDSM-werf organiseert speciale Kunst Toers. Tijdens deze wandeling hoor je meer over de tijdelijke kunstwerken, de makers en waarom ze passen op NDSM. De Kunst Toer wordt meestal gegeven door kunstenaar Su Tomesen en een speciale gast. Op 23 augustus vindt de volgende Kunst Toer plaats met gids kunstenaar Su Tomesen en special guest Lily van der Stokker.

This summer, Stichting NDSM-werf presents New Dawn by Howareyoufeeling.studio: a public installation of 108 red monobloc chairs inviting visitors to take a seat, pause, and become part of a shared ritual of attention, stillness and encounter.

From May 14, Wish Me Well will be on display at NDSM. This temporary, seven-metre-high monument by artist Lara Schnitger rises in a prominent spot at the ferry landing. The sculpture depicts a warrior who embraces and defends feminist values, and acts as a powerful beacon for emancipation in the public space. The official opening will take place on May 13.

From April 24, the NDSM Giants will be on display at NDSM. Three eight-metre-high concrete sculptures designed by Gabriel Lester (PolyLester) are rising on the site. The giant basketball players, caught in movement, show from varying perspectives an exciting game between stillness and dynamism, between figuration and abstraction.

The text work created for NDSM by artist Lily van der Stokker is a soft and critical counterbalance to the raw character of the former shipyard, dominated by male creators.

For the annual DGTL Festival at NDSM, Stichting NDSM-werf and DGTL jointly commissioned a new painting on the iconic container arch.
