Tropikali is a colourful, two day queerfestival on the NDSM-werf where inclusivity, self-expression and community are central. With multiple stages and an eclectic line, from Latin house and reggaeton to techno and Balkan beats, the festival brings a unique mix of cultures and sounds. A part full of colour, music and community that you don’t want to miss.

For ten years, 3X3 Unites strengthens young people through sport, from local squares to an international community. The 3X3 Festivals marks a new chapter and brings together everything 3x3 stands for: development, top-level sport, the power of young people, community and street culture. NORTH SIDE STORY by YoungGangers is a modern, musical reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet at the NDSM-werf in Amsterdam-noord this summer. This outdoor spectacle is inspired by Shakespeare and West Side Story. The action musical, written by Jibbe Willems, is a mix of poetry, humor, sung confrontation, raw spectacle and slapstick.

During the Amsterdam Dance Event NDSM transforms into a creative world where electronic music and art come together. Into The Woods takes you through the industrial warehouses and open-air stages, filled with light art and surprising installations. Expect deep beats, a playful atmosphere and a unique experience at one of the city’s most special waterfront locations

For the annual DGTL Festival at NDSM, Stichting NDSM-werf and DGTL jointly commissioned a new painting on the iconic container arch.

From April 24, the NDSM Giants will be on display at NDSM. Three eight-metre-high concrete sculptures designed by Gabriel Lester (PolyLester) are rising on the site. The giant basketball players, caught in movement, show from varying perspectives an exciting game between stillness and dynamism, between figuration and abstraction.

From 15 January, you can discover three car installations by artist Bart Eysink Smeets at the NDSM. In these playful works, parked around the area, the car is used as a symbol of how we deal with space, movement and everyday use.

The text work created for NDSM by artist Lily van der Stokker is a soft and critical counterbalance to the raw character of the former shipyard, dominated by male creators.

Lusthoven have a rich history as places that were meant to stimulate the senses. At the same time, they increasingly became an exclusive place for the wealthy owners to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. One example is the private Lusthoven aan de Vecht, where only wealthy Amsterdammers used to go. With this contemporary NDSM Lusthof, you can Studio Ossidiana a parallel between the pleasure gardens of yesteryear and the courtyards of today's apartment complexes, which are often only accessible to owners or tenants.
