STRAAT museum launches her new exhibition, The Essence, on April 10th. It’s all about diving into what drives graffiti - the names, tags, lines and repetition - as its own visual language. The show follows graffiti’s journey from the underground in New York City to a global movement that inspires modern art. To celebrate the opening, the legendary graffiti artist Bill Blast (Wise/William Cordero) will create new work, give an interview and sign blackbooks on April 11th.

The Transit exhibition investigates the transformation of industry through the climate transition. The complex relationship between climate, industry, and prosperity is central. The exhibition concludes the five-year study, which approaches the transition legally, politically, and ethically, with the central question of who bears the responsibility and burden and who benefits.

A. Beginning brings together seven artists who have each started over in their own way after studies, illness, or personal changes. The exhibition explores the balance between vulnerability and resilience and shows how the desire to start over runs deep within us. Even in uncertain circumstances, the urge to grow and move forward remains present.
RAINBOW PRIDE

Rainbow Pride is a colourful group exhibition inspired by the iconic rainbow flag by Gilbert Baker. As part of WorldPride, the participating artists explore what the values behind the flag, such as pride, connection, freedom and acceptance, mean today. The exhibition celebrates what connects us and invites reflection on diversity, inclusion and living together.

Feministische Handwerkpartij x Wish Me Well

In het kader van Wish Me Well organiseert De Feministische Handwerk Partij een workshop. Hierin bekijken we handwerken niet alleen als een ambacht, maar ook als een manier om samen te komen, zorg te delen en maatschappelijke thema’s te bespreken. Rondom het kunstwerk van Lara Schnitger, gemaakt van met de hand versierde zandzakken die feministische waarden beschermen, onderzoeken we hoe textiel, repareren en zorgen al eeuwenlang verbonden zijn met de rol van vrouwen in de samenleving.

De Pionier | Michiel Voet

On 19 September, the theatre production De Pionier will premiere at Amsterdam’s NDSM-werf. With De Pionier, Michiel Voet is the winner of the NDSM Open Call 2025/2026, the annual open call through which Stichting NDSM-werf and Stichting Kinetisch Noord enable art projects by artists and creatives based at the former shipyard in Amsterdam-Noord.

New Dawn
Wish Me Well

From May 14, Wish Me Well will be on display at NDSM. This temporary, seven-metre-high monument by artist Lara Schnitger rises in a prominent spot at the ferry landing. The sculpture depicts a warrior who embraces and defends feminist values, and acts as a powerful beacon for emancipation in the public space. The official opening will take place on May 13.
NDSM Giants & 3x3 legacy courts

From April 24, the NDSM Giants will be on display at NDSM. Three eight-metre-high concrete sculptures designed by Gabriel Lester (PolyLester) are rising on the site. The giant basketball players, caught in movement, show from varying perspectives an exciting game between stillness and dynamism, between figuration and abstraction.
