Overlooked stories from fringes and margins

Overlooked Stories from Fringes and Margins

Which stories hold value when a place changes? How can stories that matter to a city be preserved?

On this online listening platform, you’ll hear voices and stories that are often overlooked - stories that deserve to be remembered. From hidden histories that give voice to the legacy of NDSM, to music and podcasts from Afaina de Jong’s archive that bring feminist and underrepresented perspectives on urban development and music rooted in the diaspora to the forefront. Jesper Buursink and Fouad Lakbir from Stratenmakers Audiocollectief have captured the personal stories of people connected to the NDSM wharf: from former workers and migrant laborers to pioneering artists and creatives who have shaped the area in many different ways.

Listen, watch, and discover these overlooked perspectives and voices about the city and NDSM.
