For the sixth time, Tropikali brought colour to NDSM in 2025. This LGBTQI+ friendly festival is all about self-expression — whether through a stunning festival outfit, impressive dance moves, or any other form of expression. In their own words, Tropikali is: “A place where LGBTQIA+ people — and those who are still exploring where they stand — can express themselves freely and without judgement.” On the dance floor, expect tropical vibes and the very best Balkan beats.

About Tropikali
Tropikali is a vibrant, boundary-pushing queer festival at NDSM in Amsterdam, known for its inclusive safer space where self-expression and diversity take centre stage. Since its intimate beginnings in 2018, it has grown into a larger, often multi-day event connecting the queer community through an eclectic mix of tropical sounds, Balkan beats, Latin rhythms and disco, spread across various stages.

About Stichting NDSM-werf
Stichting NDSM-werf programmes and manages the monumental outdoor space of NDSM as a cultural wharf, presenting publicly accessible events — including its own event, NDSM Vrijhaven — with room for experimentation and encounter. Each year, the site hosts several large-scale events such as Into the Woods, Tropikali and the IJ-Hallen market.
