Hoe kan dromen worden bekeken door een politieke lens? ‘Oh, Wild Gazelle, where are you?’ is een droomachtige performance die thema’s als censuur, zelfcensuur en exotisering onderzoekt aan de hand van het werk van drie Iraanse kunstenaars. De voorstelling wordt begeleid door een vrouwelijke choreograaf en danseres, die live optreedt vanuit Iran. Het stuk ontvouwt zich in een ruimte tussen werkelijkheid en droom in, zowel in het Farsi als in het Engels.

There are several places in Amsterdam North where you can learn to play an instrument or practice music. On September 14, Muziekschool Amsterdam Noord, Muziekstraat, A'DAM Music School and Treehouse NDSM will open their doors to all music practitioners. Stop by during this day of music and try out different instruments, singing and music lessons, or join the concert with amateurs at the end of the day.

In 2024, Circoloco will celebrate its 25th anniversary, a milestone that underlines their long-term impact on the international music scene. After several indoor editions in Amsterdam at Amsterdam Dance Event, the first outdoor festival will take place at the NDSM-wharf on September 14.

Flock Theater opens the season with an evening of unscripted theater. Come see theater like you've never seen (and will never see again) before. The actors create the storylines, characters, and dialogue spontaneously on stage without a pre-written script.

The IJ-Halls are the largest flea market in Europe and take place about once every three weeks on the outside of the NDSM shipyard (spring and summer) or inside the NDSM Loods (autumn and winter). During the summer months, Treehouse NDSM offers many fun gardening workshops and activities, suitable for all ages. This edition: Ink from Plants by Kris Gonzales (SP/EN): make plant-based inks and paint with them! And [KIDS 6-10 years] Colored Clay Garden by Helga van Stralen (EN/NL): create a collective garden with colored clay.

Journey of Serene is a live music experience that takes you on a sensory journey with the goal of connecting with yourself and truly relaxing your body. It's a creative concept where we offer an accessible and innovative experience. We do this by combining breathwork and meditation with live music that is described as electronic, neoclassical, ambient and cinematographic.

Under the name “Young Curator”, Stichting NDSM-werf annually invites a novice curator to intervene in the public space of the NDSM, this year: multidisciplinary artist Charmaine de Heij. On September 26, she will put together a program dedicated to (the reflection on) our colonial past, using various art forms.

Alles wat je wilt weten over seks tijdens een gezellige avond uit. Wie heeft er een prettige seksuele opvoeding gehad? Bijna niemand. Praten over seks is vanaf dag één voor de meeste mensen ongemakkelijk. Tijdens ons theatercollege (wetenschappelijke feiten in een cabaret jasje) behandelt ‘Seksprofessor’ Daphne Gakes zes thema’s: Presteren, beelden, diversiteit, speeltjes en fantaseren. Verder is er een randprogramma met leuke stands, een speeddate en een bingo.

During the summer months, Treehouse NDSM offers many fun gardening workshops and activities, suitable for all ages. This edition: Community celebration with music, a food market & lunch by Vegan Bar Chef from 12:00 - 14:00. Then from 14:00 - 16:00 [KIDS aged 10 and over] Clay Color Tiles by Dejana Vuckovic (EN/NL): Print herbs and flowers on ceramic tiles and paint them with colored clay.

From now until September 10, participants can register and submit Black IPA beer to Cannibale Royale. In mid-September, the jury will choose the finalists who will participate in a stand at Cannibale Royale all day on October 6 where visitors can come, taste and vote! This whole afternoon is about creativity and beer, are you there?

During ADE 2024, DGTL is organizing several nights in the NDSM Warehouse where you can enjoy all kinds of electronic music. For example, Caribu hosts Thursday evening and you can go to Nils Frahm on Friday, or party until the sun rises on Saturday during Brutalismus 3000.
