Events

NDSM not only offers a location for events, but also acts as a platform for experimentation and innovation. Here, upcoming cultural events and festivals are given the space to make their debut, with programs that combine art and music in a surprising way. Whether you're a small-scale new initiative or a member of the established order of our city, as an organizer, you play a crucial role in shaping our range of events that reflect Amsterdam's cultural diversity. With the proceeds from event rentals, we support the arts and culture program that is essential for NDSM and therefore for Amsterdam-Noord.

Photo shoots and tours
The NDSM is available as a location for various purposes. The shipyard has a unique character and is located on the historic site on the banks of the IJ, a stone's throw from the city center of Amsterdam. The outdoor area is regularly rented out to festivals and other (cultural) activities. In addition, NDSM is a very photogenic location. The shipyard therefore regularly appears in video clips and often forms the backdrop for photo shoots.

Venues at NDSM
NDSM is a characteristic spot in Amsterdam-Noord. Where the city's frayed edges used to be, it is now a bustling hotspot where everyone can indulge their cultural heart. A place for visitors to wander and be inspired by all the art and creativity on site. The area of no less than 10 hectares has many different organizations, companies, residents, artists and creatives and together they form NDSM; the most colorful and raw part of Amsterdam with views over the IJ in the background.
