A lasting bond

Story of Rienke Enghardt by Stratenmakers Audiocollectief
16 Apr 2025

Rienke Enghardt arrived at the NDSM wharf 25 years ago, drawn by the courage and freedom of the first pioneers. She didn’t have a studio or a permanent place, but it was exactly that openness that became her foundation. At the wharf, there was space to build, to fail, and to start again. Together with others, she helped shape a place that would slowly grow, built on mutual trust. Alongside her work as an artist and member of the construction team, she also initiated social projects, such as an exchange program with young people from Amsterdam-Noord, Kosovo, and Serbia. In everything she does, it’s all about connection, imagination, and community.
