The lunchbox

Story of Jannie Bogaard by Stratenmakers Audiocollectief
16 Apr 2025

Almost every day, Jannie would walk from home to the NDSM wharf to bring her father his lunch. The place left a deep impression on her, just like the work her father did at the shipyard.

She was even invited to lay the first stone of the Kinderdok on Texel, a holiday retreat created especially for the children of NDSM workers - a place to catch their breath and unwind. As she flips through the old photo album, memories from the past come flooding back.

The audio is only available in Dutch.
