WRAP IT UP! – Build your own Giant at NDSM

This spring, gigantic figures will appear at NDSM. These impressive ‘Giants’ form the inspiration for two special workshop afternoons at the NDSM Kinderatelier. During WRAP IT UP!, you’ll get hands-on: constructing wooden figures, giving them a skin of plaster and fabric, and building your own giant layer by layer. In the end, the works will be magically illuminated, allowing their towering forms to move through the space.

The team at the NDSM Kinderatelier consists of artists who work on the wharf. The wharf itself — along with the elements of water and wind, and the artworks present on site — often serves as the starting point for the workshops.

Come and build, wrap, shape and be amazed — and create your own Giant at NDSM. The artists guiding you — Mélanie Corre, Laura Jehle, Valerie van Leersum, Hélène Min and Sophie Tiné — all work on NDSM Wharf themselves. They will help you get started, think along with you and ensure your idea truly comes to life.
