A new, colorful artwork by the British artist will be released this summer Morag Myerscough at NDSM, near the waterfront at the shipyard. You might know Myerscough's work from her installation at Coachella 2024.

Morag's work at NDSM is about what makes you feel at home somewhere, in this specific case, Amsterdam and Amsterdam-Noord. That's why she wants to know what this place means to you. How much do you feel at home here? During four interactive workshops, she asked visitors, residents and acquaintances of NDSM what this question and theme means for them. The results of the workshops are the inspiration for the final artwork at NDSM's Load-Out. Additionally, artist with words Mahat Arab will create a poem inspired by the artwork and the outcomes of the workshops. This poem can be heard and read as a spoken-word performance as part of the eventual art piece.

Opening 12th of May

On the 12th of may the work will be festively launched in the presence of the artist, and with a performance by Mahat Arab, live-music, and delicious food and drinks. Starting time 15:00, everybody is welcome to join us at NDSM! Let us know if you will be there at the opening of this artwork via this link.

This artwork is made possible with the contributions by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunsten (AFK), Cultuurfonds, BPD Cultuurfonds, Stichting Doen, de Gemeente Amsterdam, and sponsoring by Plug Verfgroothandel.
