The famous NDSM Open Call will start again this year! Artists, creatives and organizations with a workplace at NDSM are invited to submit a proposal for a new, accessible art project at NDSM, indoors or outdoors.

With the NDSM Open Call,Stichting NDSM-werf and Stichting Kinetisch Noord would like to support projects that have arisen from the creativity of the NDSM community. Whether you're designing, making theater, painting, crafts, making music, or creating anything else, we'd love to hear what art project or cultural initiative you want to realize at NDSM. The call and submission will take place in 2024, and the project itself will be realized in consultation sometime 2025.

Are you participating?

All ideas are welcome, from a short event such as a performance to a longer project such as an art installation. You can realize your project both outside the NDSM shipyard and inside the NDSM warehouse. If you want to use specific places or objects on the site, that is also possible. Please note that if you use a location that is not managed by Stichting NDSM-werf (outdoor area) or Stichting Kinetisch Noord (NDSM-loods), you send a letter of intent showing that the location or owner agrees.

From all submissions, Stichting NDSM-werf and Stichting Kinetisch Noord, together with Jim Du Pan and Catarina Garcia, choose (NDSM Open Call 2023 winners) final winner (s). Background

NDSM is a place for art, culture and creative ingenuity. This is not least due to the very diverse and active community of around 400 artists who have their studios in the NDSM Loods, under one of the slopes, near Treehouse NDSM or elsewhere on the shipyard. For them, the NDSM is often more than just a workplace. The charismatic, expansive terrain is also a source of inspiration for new art projects. The resulting artistic initiatives have an eye for urban undercurrents that a sporadic visitor often miss, and for that reason they are of great value to the identity of the area.
