w/ On the Corner Soundsystem was born from the label’s long running collaboration with Santuri, the platform for new sounds and unholy collaborations from East Africa and beyond. Following a string of hyped hybrid releases, label boss, DJ and mover/shaker Pete OntheCorner has teamed up behind the decks’ with Santuri’s co-founder David Tinning. United by a love of outernational sounds old and new, the Soundsystem features a rotating cast of live artists and guest DJs. Pete is a resident on Gilles Peterson’s award winning radio station WorldwideFM, while David holds down the Bush of Ghosts show on Berlin’s best kept secret, Cashmere Radio.

w/ Gioumanne (aka Jumanne Thomas) started deejaying in the mid-90s in the Netherlands’ underground African party scene. The founder of Africanhiphop.com (1997), the first pan-African urban music platform on the web, he’s always sought for untold stories in music. His innovative Afro Cosmic Club mix series (from 2011) has provided a portal to forgotten ‘80s disco, rumba and psych soul from Africa and the diaspora. Recently Gioumanne provided the research for reissue albums by Tanzanian band Sunburst (Strut), Ghana’s Basa Basa (Vintage Voudou), compiled Surinam Funk Force (Rush Hour) and wrote liner notes for Kenya Special 2 (Soundway). Together with Amal Alhaag he presents the monthly Africa Is Hot radio show on Red Light Radio.

w/ PÅL/SECAM is an Amsterdam based Dutch/French DJ duo, who spread the intercontinental PAN-AMAFROPEANS sound on the local dance floors.
PAN-AMAFROPEANS. Not an easy word. But if you let it melt on your tongue just a little bit before you swallow, you’ll understand what flavors are incorporated: a mishmash of grooves from around the world, not bluntly stacked but accurately fused together.
Over the years they’ve hosted parties lining up groove specialists like Bufiman, KC the Funkaholic, Christian S, Esa Williams, Afrobot, Baris K & many more..
