WHAT IS ART BATTLE?
Art Battle® is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. WAT IS ARTBATTLE?
Art Battle® is een live, competitieve schildersavond. Schilders creëren het beste wat ze kunnen binnen de 20 minuten tijd. Terwijl zij de schilderijen vormgeven, loopt het publiek rond en ziet het proces van dichtbij. Dat allemaal onder het genot van een drankje en muziek van een live DJ. Qua materiaal voorziet Art Battle de schilders van acrylverf en een doek, de artiest mag kwasten, paletmessen en andere niet-mechanische instrumenten meenemen. Aan het einde van de ronde kiest het publiek democratisch de favoriet, ook wordt er ondertussen op de schilderijen geboden in een stille veiling. Het is een bijzondere kans, Art Battle geeft vernieuwende artiesten een podium en de mogelijkheid om écht door te breken. Als publiek krijg je de mogelijkheid om naar huis te gaan met je favoriete (unieke!) schilderij.
