Rainbow Pride is a colourful group exhibition inspired by the iconic rainbow flag by Gilbert Baker. As part of WorldPride, the participating artists explore what the values ​​behind the flag, such as pride, connection, freedom and acceptance, mean today. The exhibition celebrates what connects us and invites reflection on diversity, inclusion and living together.

For ten years, 3X3 Unites strengthens young people through sport, from local squares to an international community. The 3X3 Festivals marks a new chapter and brings together everything 3x3 stands for: development, top-level sport, the power of young people, community and street culture. As part of Wish Me Well, De Feministische Handwerk Partij (The Feminist Craft Party) is organising a workshop. In this session, we will explore handicrafts not only as a craft practice, but also as a means of coming together, sharing care, and discussing social issues. Taking Lara Schnitger’s artwork as a point of departure — created from hand-decorated sandbags that safeguard feminist values — we will examine how textiles, mending, and care have been intertwined with the role of women in society for centuries.

The IJ-Hallen are the largest flea market in Europe and take place about once every three weeks on the outside of NDSM (spring and summer) or inside the NDSM Loods (autumn and winter). NORTH SIDE STORY by YoungGangers is a modern, musical reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet at the NDSM-werf in Amsterdam-noord this summer. This outdoor spectacle is inspired by Shakespeare and West Side Story. The action musical, written by Jibbe Willems, is a mix of poetry, humor, sung confrontation, raw spectacle and slapstick.

From May 14, Wish Me Well will be on display at NDSM. This temporary, seven-metre-high monument by artist Lara Schnitger rises in a prominent spot at the ferry landing. The sculpture depicts a warrior who embraces and defends feminist values, and acts as a powerful beacon for emancipation in the public space. The official opening will take place on May 13.

From April 24, the NDSM Giants will be on display at NDSM. Three eight-metre-high concrete sculptures designed by Gabriel Lester (PolyLester) are rising on the site. The giant basketball players, caught in movement, show from varying perspectives an exciting game between stillness and dynamism, between figuration and abstraction.

For the annual DGTL Festival at NDSM, Stichting NDSM-werf and DGTL jointly commissioned a new painting on the iconic container arch.

Tot het einde van dit jaar zijn op NDSM twee auto-installaties van kunstenaar Bart Eysink Smeets te zien. In deze speelse werken, die verspreid over de werf staan geparkeerd, staat de auto centraal als symbool van onze omgang met ruimte, beweging en gebruik.

The text work created for NDSM by artist Lily van der Stokker is a soft and critical counterbalance to the raw character of the former shipyard, dominated by male creators.
