NDSM Vrijhaven will return to the NDSM wharf on April 27th, 2023! The most awesome (free) event during King’s Day in Amsterdam Noord. Click here for the map of the festival.
PROGRAM
Vrijhaven has been the largest children’s free market in Amsterdam for years! This free event is especially for everyone who wants to experience a King’s Day full of fun and excitement. CHILDREN MARKET
Has your toy cupboard been bulging for weeks or are you looking for some new acquisitions? Then come to the children’s free market of NDSM Vrijhaven, the perfect place to spend your King’s Day without being bored for a moment and perhaps also earn some additional pocket money by renting your own stall! You already have a spot on the Kindervrijmaak for 1 euro! Reserve your spot via the button below.
PLLEK
This year Pllek is organizing an outdoor stage where you can enjoy some live music and, if you dare, even dare yourself a dance. In addition, Pllek also provides a children’s program by the Ruige Rakkers for when you already sold everything in your marketstall and its completely empty or if you need to recover from all negotiating at the market.

ADM MUSIC
You don’t have to worry about missing some great tunes in the middle of the children’s free market! ADM, an artist collective from Amsterdam Noord, will also provide the necessary musical tones in your ears at the Load Out of NDSM.

3×3 UNITES BASKETBALL WORKSHOPS
Always wanted to learn how to dunk? Or are you more curious about the basic skills of a professional basketball player? Then you are at the right place at 3×3 Unites during Vrijhaven! The basketball gurus of 3×3 will give workshops on their court at NDSM during Vrijhaven so that at the end of the day you can take to the streets with a basketball in your hands with full confidence. The exact times of the workshops will be announced later, so stay tuned!

FOOD TRUCKS
During Vrijhaven we have a wide range of food trucks, each with their own specialty, ready for you for all types of appetite. Fancy an Italian pizza, or would you rather just have some amazing fries? We got you! So, especially after you’ve had a look around at all the market stalls, stroll along the food truck village at the head of the X-slope.

OTHER ENTERTAINMENT
In addition to the children’s flea market, refreshments and music, there are a lot of attractions during Vrijhaven where you can go wild. Karnieland is back with multiple rides, including the aura-paintshooter, the floating witch’s broom, and the Bamkars. You can also make a round on the merry-go-round, or show your master aim at the Shooting Cabin. Or maybe you can call yourself musical chairs champion after the National Musical Chairs Disco on the Y-slope! 🎡

YAYBOLO
A danceable up-tempo live act with self-made instruments from recycled material in combination with a live looper and virtuoso bass player! The guys from Yaybolo even converted a box-truck into a moving stage complete with solar panels, batteries, and a thick sound system. With this Yaybolo can perform everywhere with the power of the sun and they will fill your ears with great tunes during NDSM Vrijhaven!

NDSM TREEHOUSE
Celebrate King’s Day with Brazilian music & vibes by joining us at the ‘Blockparty’ organised by Favela. Taking over Treehouse NDSM’s Pavilion and courtyard, Favela will bring on their concept of tropical influences, summery styles, colourful decors and sexy sounds! You will soon feel as if you have ended up in Brazil for a few hours, and are now enjoying the contagious energy, steaming dance floor, tropical vibes and the nicest people from Amsterdam.
