ART PROGRAM BY STICHTING NDSM-WERF
This fall, like last year, Stichting NDSM-werf will present three light works on the NDSM terrain for a month, on view from 5 November (Museumn8). Artists belit sağ, Cosimo Scotucci and Romain Tardy will both literally and figuratively illuminate unexposed subjects with their works. Cosimo Scotucci’s installation lights up at night, giving an extra boost to the greenery present in the urban environment of NDSM. belit sağ responds with her videographic work to underexposed (or absent) images of Turkish female migrant workers working on and around NDSM—giving them a voice and narrative again. Romain Tardy makes the invisible searching behaviour of Dutch people on Google visible and public on large LED panels on the Y-slope.
Throughout this exhibition, Stichting NDSM-werf wants to create more space for the discussion around public values and polyphony. In addition, the foundation wants to make the historical and cultural value of the wharf tangible through various artistic interventions.
