Lumberjacks in Hell turns 7! The Amsterdam based Disco loving label had a great year with releases by Karizma (Work It Out), Soulphiction and Dan Shake. It’s time to celebrate.
After the sold out Lumberjacks in Hell Boat Party, Lumberjacks founder Marcel Vogel and everybody’s darling, Amsterdam born Mr Mendel make their hands dirty to bring you: 7 Years of Lumberjacks in Hell feat Mark grusane (Sounds Familliar).
A major inspiration for the label is the birth place of house itself: Chicago! So it’s only appropriate to bring over one of Chicago’s deepest crates, Mr Peabody Records himself, Mark Grusane.
Raised on a healthy diet of WBMX radio mixes, Mark co-founded Mr Peabody’s records in 2004, a major source for all sorts Disco, House and other Dancemusic genres for Chicago and all over the world. His deep involvement with cratedigging led to several edit 12″ and the two resourceful compilations on BBE, The Real Sound of Chicago (Underground Disco from the Windy City) and The Real Sound Of Chicago & Beyond (2009 & 2011)
