Carmen sings the blues
Laid back, sensual, jazzy blues band born in Amsterdam. Singer Carmen Gomes will carress your ears at Noorderlicht with her silky smooth voice, singing classics like Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, BB King, Blind Willie Johnson.
Carmen Gomes Inc. started 25 years ago in Grand Café ‘de Heeren van Aemstel’ in Amsterdam.
When Carmen won the Dutch ‘Vocalisten concours’ and the first album of CGI was very well received internationally, many international gigs followed including Japan, Scandinavia, UK, Germany an the North Sea Jazz Festival.
And now… So glad to have them playing here, in our very own backyard. If it’s good weather of course. In case of rain they will play inside.
