ADE | To the beat of my own drum
From Friday 12 October until Sunday 21 October, Nieuw Dakota, Het Vijfde Seizoen and Grey Men, in collaboration with curator Mette Samkalden, present the exhibition To the beat of my own drum.
This exhibition project combines the audiovisual work of five artists that work on the crossroads of visual arts, the music industry and nightlife. The exhibition that Samkalden curates is a multi-sensory experience, stimulated by light, sound and moving images. An exhibition that does not require any knowledge of music or art and in which so called ‘high culture’ and ‘club culture’ merge, showing how closely connected the various disciplines are. Not only in the visual works, but also in the in-depth programming that is realised in collaboration with ADE. Between the works, which range from videos to interactive installations and from sounds and lightscapes to paintings, we organize public conversations, events, performances and art education.
