Movement in metal, wood & textile | Helena Kaori Maeda & Frank Hietbrink

The combination of Helena Kaori Maeda‘s drawings, paintings and sketches and the visual form, sculpture and handcraft by Frank Hietbrinks transforms their creative ideas from 2D to 3D, complementing each other’s work. Together they’re making imaginary forms, most based on nature, shaped into metal, paper, paintings, drawings, wood and textile. One example of their work is the series of moving “jelly fishes” lamps from 2000.
The exhibition Movement in metal, wood & textile at NDSM-fuse will show their next sequence of projects, bringing together previous and new associations.

The exhibition is open from Thursday to Sunday 12:00-18:00, except for the weekend of november 17 & 18.
